The School Day

The school day at Mellor Primary School is carefully structured to provide a balanced and engaging experience for every pupil. Our day begins with a warm welcome and provides a range of opportunities for learning, social interaction, and personal growth.

We focus on creating an environment where pupils feel secure, confident, and excited to learn. Each day is filled with a variety of lessons, activities, and opportunities for pupils to explore their interests and passions.

The school day includes a blend of academic subjects, creative arts, physical activities, and time for reflection. We ensure that pupils have the opportunity to engage in independent work, group projects, and collaborative activities to develop a range of skills.

Our school day is designed to promote curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning, while also supporting pupils’ social and emotional wellbeing. By the end of the day, children leave school with a sense of achievement and excitement about their next steps.

The school doors open at 8:45am and close at 8:55am. After this time children will need to come in through the main office entrance to sign in. School finishes at 3:15pm.

Out-of-School Care

Mellor Out-of-School Care Scheme offers care for your child before and after normal school hours from Nursery to Year 6. Designed to help working parents the scheme operates from 7.30am – 8.45am and 3.15pm-6pm. All sessions must be booked the day before on the MyEd App.

Fees per child

The scheme’s supervisors provide the children with a range of activities, bearing in mind that it is the children’s leisure time, and try to meet the needs of a range of ages and interests.
